How can we help?

Yes. Put a thumb over the speaker on the back, pull the pin for a second, then push it straight back in. You will hear plenty. We recommend testing it once when it arrives so you know exactly how it feels, and you will not hesitate if you ever need it.

Lots of personal alarms look alike, but they're not all made the same. With Ashley Alarm 2 you get:

• A 130dB siren and a bright LED strobe
• A built-in torch
• USB recharging (cable included), so there are no coin batteries to buy
• Up to 1 year on standby per charge
• A 2-year warranty
• Its own gift-ready box

It's carried by 130,000+ women and has 2,000+ reviews.

Give the pin on the top a firm pull and point the front at whoever you need to. The siren starts at 130db and the LED strobe flashes in their face. To stop it, push the pin back in.

No. The pin needs a firm, deliberate pull to release, so it will not trigger from being knocked, sat on or buried under keys. There are no buttons to press by mistake.

Yes. A personal alarm is not a weapon, so anyone can carry one anywhere, including schools, universities, workplaces and public transport. It is also fine in hand luggage when you fly. In the UK it is one of the very few self-defence items you can legally carry.

9cm x 2.6cm x 1.1cm and 40g, about the size of a car key fob. It sits in a coat pocket or clutch, and hangs from keys, a bag strap, a belt or a running belt without getting in the way.

Ashley Alarm 2 is USB rechargeable. Once the pin is pulled it runs the siren and strobe for 60+ minutes. On standby a full charge lasts up to 1 year; we recommend topping it up every 6 months and testing it once a month. To check the battery, press the torch button on the side: a red light flashes 10 times if it needs a charge.

Ashley Alarm 1 runs on two CR2032 batteries, lasts up to 1 year on standby and sounds for over an hour once activated.

To replace the Ashley Alarm 1 batteries is quick and painless:

• Twist the pin on the top of your alarm both ways to release the front and back
• Remove the two internal screws
• Replace the two CR2032 batteries
• Replace the two screws
• Snap the two sides of the alarm back together

Have you ever stood outside and felt the need to duck when a LOUD jet flew low overhead?

That was 130db.

It's also louder than standing next to a speaker at a rock concert.

More than bright enough to help disorientate a potential threat and give you vital seconds to evade an attack.

While the offer is on, add three alarms in any mix of colours and you pay for two (a third off each alarm). Add five and you pay for three (40% off each). The price drops automatically in your basket, no code needed. It cannot be combined with other discount codes.

Every order includes your alarm(s), a solid metal, silver-plated keychain for each, directions for use and a two-year warranty. Alarm 2 also comes with a USB charging cable.
